March is a wonderful time to explore the Scenic Sip Wine Trail in Lake Country, British Columbia.
As we move closer to spring, wineries along the trail are hosting a variety of tastings, workshops, and dining experiences while also preparing for our upcoming Sip Into Spring event on April 18—a trail-wide celebration of new wine releases, spring flavours, and unique winery experiences.
March also brings an exciting opportunity to celebrate International Riesling Day on March 13. Lake Country’s vineyards within the Lake Country Sub-GI of the Okanagan Valley are known for producing exceptional cool-climate Riesling, making this varietal one of the region’s standout wines. Several wineries on the Scenic Sip Wine Trail will be highlighting Riesling with special tastings and experiences throughout the month.
Below is a look at what’s happening across the trail this March.
• Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in March – 2-for-1 Tastings Enjoy two-for-one tastings featuring the Taste of the Estate and Odyssey tasting flights. Walk-ins are welcome, making it an easy and spontaneous weekday wine experience.
• March 8 – International Women’s Day Celebration A full day of events including: – Sip & Shop featuring local vendors – Yoga & Mimosas from 10:30–11:30 a.m. – Paint & Sip with Monet Meets Merlot from 3–5:30 p.m., including art supplies and a glass of wine or mocktail – Brunch available at The Lookout Restaurant
• March 14–15 – Riesling Comparison Experience Taste and compare BC VQA and Ontario VQA Rieslings paired with house-made focaccia while exploring how terroir influences this beloved varietal.
• March 22 – Paint & Sip with Monet Meets Merlot (3–5:30 p.m.) A relaxed creative afternoon including painting instruction, art supplies, and a glass of wine or mocktail on arrival.
• March 30 – Gray Monk Book Club (5:30–7:30 p.m.) A welcoming evening for book lovers to gather over great conversation and wine. Participation is free, with reservations recommended.
• Every Tuesday in March – Pasta Night
Enjoy a comforting bowl of pasta paired with a six-ounce glass of wine, starting at $30.
• Every Thursday in March – Date Night Share a pizza, dessert, and fresh Garden Bistro salad for two for $50 plus tax, making it a perfect midweek outing.
• March 4 – Wine Wednesday Masterclass (5:30–6:30 p.m.) A hands-on tasting experience designed to help guests refine and enhance their wine tasting skills.
• March 11 – Wine Wednesday: Riesling Vertical (5:30–6:30 p.m.) A guided tasting exploring multiple vintages of Riesling and how the wine evolves over time.
• March 13–15 – Riesling Celebration Celebrate International Riesling Day with a curated lineup of Rieslings, including special and rare pours.
• March 7 – Bingo at the Barrels: Music Bingo Edition (2–4 p.m.) A lively afternoon of music, wine, and bingo-style fun inside the winery’s barrel room.
• March 13–15 – Raising a Glass to Riesling Celebrate International Riesling Day with two exclusive Rieslings featured as part of the tasting experience.
• March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day Sale Enjoy 10% off all Green Cap wines, including Intrigue Riesling, Social White, and Chardonnay.
• March 26 – Aging Gracefully: Pinot Noir Series An exclusive guided vertical tasting led by the winemaking team featuring the 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022 Pinot Noir vintages.
• March 28 – Winter Dinner Series: Mediterranean A multi-course dining experience inspired by the rich and diverse flavours of Mediterranean cuisine.
• March 6-8 - Celebrating International Women's Day

• March 24 – April 2 – BLOCK ONE Restaurant Closed: The restaurant will be temporarily closed. BLOCK ONE will reopen April 3rd with a refreshed spring menu featuring returning favourites alongside new seasonal dishes.
